# A Short Cashflow Stress Test for Business Owners

## Most cashflow problems don’t arrive loudly. They show up as pressure, uncertainty, and rushed decisions.

If you’re running a business, there’s a good chance your cash position *looks* fine on paper — right up until it doesn’t.

In my experience, businesses don’t run into trouble because they ignore the numbers.  
They run into trouble because **the numbers stop telling the full story**.

Cashflow pressure usually appears first as:

- Uncertainty about what’s coming next
- Decisions being made under time pressure
- A sense that something is “tight”, but hard to pinpoint

This short assessment is designed to help identify whether that pressure is present — **before it becomes expensive**.

It looks at **cash visibility, timing pressure, external risk, and buffer depth** — the areas where problems tend to build quietly ... in the background, and not immediately obvious.

Many people who complete this assessment already have an accountant.  
That’s normal — and expected.

## What happens after you complete it?

Once you complete the stress test, you’ll see one of three outcomes:

- **Green** — no immediate pressure identified
- **Amber** — early signs of compression or risk
- **Red** — pressure already influencing decisions

If appropriate, you’ll be shown the option of a **short, fixed-scope cashflow triage review**.

There’s no requirement to proceed.
